I. welcome to 2025

by Michael T. Klare

Memo to the United States Central Intelligence Agency: You may not be prepared for time-travel, but welcome to 2025 anyway. Your rooms may be a little small, your ability to demand better accommodation may have gone out the window, and the amenities may not be to your taste, but get used to it. It's going to be your reality from now on.

Okay, now for the serious version of the above: In November 2008, the National Intelligence Council (NIC), an affiliate of the Central Intelligence Agency, issued the latest in a series of futuristic publications intended to guide the incoming administration of Barack Obama.

...

Six pointers on the road to ordinary nationhood
Here is my list of six recent developments that indicate we are entering "2025" today. All six were in the news in the last few weeks, even if never collected in a single place. They (and other events like them) represent a pattern: the shape, in fact, of a new age in formation.

1. At the global economic summit in Pittsburgh on September 24 and 25, the leaders of the major industrial powers, the G-7 (G-8 if you include Russia) agreed to turn over responsibility for oversight of the world economy to a larger, more inclusive Group of 20 (G-20), adding in China, India, Brazil, Turkey, and other developing nations. Although doubts have been raised about the ability of this larger group to exercise effective global leadership, there is no doubt that the move itself signaled a shift in the locus of world economic power from the West to the global East and South - and with this shift, a seismic decline in America's economic preeminence has been registered.

...

2. According to news reports, America's economic rivals are conducting secret (and not-so-secret) meetings to explore a diminished role for the US dollar - fast losing its value - in international trade.
...

3. On the diplomatic front, Washington has been rebuffed by both Russia and China in its drive to line up support for increased international pressure on Iran to cease its nuclear enrichment program.

...
4. Exactly the same inference can be drawn from a meeting in Beijing on October 15 between Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao and Iran's first vice president, Mohammed Reza Rahimi. "The Sino-Iran relationship has witnessed rapid development as the two countries' leaders have had frequent exchanges, and cooperation in trade and energy has widened and deepened," Wen said at the Great Hall of the People. Coming at a time when the United States is engaged in a vigorous diplomatic drive to persuade China and Russia, among others, to reduce their trade ties with Iran as a prelude to toughened sanctions, the Chinese statement can only be considered a pointed rebuff of Washington.

5. From Washington's point of view, efforts to secure international support for the allied war effort in Afghanistan have also met with a strikingly disappointing response. In what can only be considered a trivial and begrudging vote of support for the US-led war effort, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown announced on October 14 that Britain would add more troops to the British contingent in that country - but only 500 more, and only if other European nations increase their own military involvement, something he undoubtedly knows is highly unlikely.

...
6. Finally, in a move of striking symbolic significance, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) passed over Chicago (as well as Madrid and Tokyo) to pick Rio de Janeiro to be the host of the 2016 summer Olympics, the first time a South American nation was selected for the honor.

II. the man who has designs on Asia

As Asia transforms itself financially, daring new buildings are springing from the urban landscape as symbols of a more confident, assertive region. At the forefront of those shaping the new symbols of prosperity is Bangkok-based designer and landscape architect Bill Bensley.

His company Bill Bensley Design was recently chosen to design a new monument off the coast of the Indian city of Mumbai that has drawn comparisons with America's Statue of Liberty.
...

Mr Bensley's team has also been recruited to work on what's reputed to be the world's most expensive home for India's richest person, Mukesh Ambani, who heads the mighty Reliance's energy-telecom-trading empire.

"We are designing a 29-storey home for him," he says. "The home will house four families."

The home is located in the greenery and quiet of the expensive Mumbai suburb of Malabar Hill. It was labelled by some critics of Mr Ambani as an edifice to the tycoon's ego, but others simply see it as a reflection of the new confidence and swagger permeating a growingly confident India.

Tucked away from the noisy, choked traffic on Sukhumvit Road near Ekamai, Mr Bensley's office is flooded with work commissioned by kings, governments and tycoons.

He says there has been no slowdown since he set up shop here 20 years ago. From the 1997 Asian crisis through to the collapse of Wall Street last year, there has not been a minute of stoppage at his shop.

"In fact, the opposite is true," says the towering figure.

...

With work stretching from Capetown to Puerto Rico, he nevertheless concedes most of his clients are from emerging Asia, most notably India and China.

His biggest fans are in China.

...

Asked if he agrees with US investment guru Jim Rogers, who sold everything in America to invest in China where much of the world's new wealth is being created, he says: "Absolutely."

Immense wealth is being created today in Asia and Mr Bensley is witnessing it up front and personal.

top 10 reasons we know that power is shifting

1. Venezuela, Syria boost ties with bilateral accords

Venezuela and Syria cemented their ties on Monday as they signed five trade, agriculture and energy cooperation agreements, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry said. Among the agreements signed by Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduro and his Syrian counterpart, Walid Muallem, in Damascus was a deal to build a refinery that can treat 140,000 barrels of oil per day.

2. Iran dismisses Israeli threats: FM

TEHRAN, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) - Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki dismissed on Monday the aggressive remarks uttered by Israeli officials against Tehran, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.

Mottaki underlined that the "Zionist regime" does not dare to attack Iran as it lacks the required strength, capabilities and resources, the report said.

"We believe that the Zionist regime is in its weakest state now. Today this regime is experiencing the weakest condition in political, regional and international arenas," Mottaki told reporters in a media and press exhibition in Tehran.

3. UN inspectors finish inspecting Iran's second nuclear plant: official

TEHRAN, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- A top Iranian lawmaker said Monday that the team of inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have finished their inspection of Iran's newly-disclosed uranium enrichment plant, local ISNA news agency reported.

"The inspectors of the agency have finished their job at Fordo (uranium enrichment plant)," Alaeddin Boroujerdi who heads Iranian parliament's national security and foreign policy commission was quoted as saying.

4. Bibi, Livni meet after months of severed ties to prepare for Livni's visit to Russia

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with opposition chairwoman Tzipi Livni on Monday, the first such meeting in months. Livni, who served as foreign minister during the Olmert administration, will visit Moscow on Tuesday at the invite of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

The former foreign minister is expected to raise the matter of Iran's nuclear program during her talks with Lavrov. Livni met with Netanyahu to coordinate positions on the issue before departi
ng for Moscow. Livni will also meet with deputies in the Russian parliament as well as leaders of the Jewish community.

...
The opposition chief will request that the Russians oppose referral of the [Goldstone] report, which accuses Israel of war crimes during its military offensive last winter in Gaza, to the UN Security Council. Livni aides said on Monday that her trip to Russia was also coordinated with the current foreign minister, Avigdor Lieberman.

5. French FM complains that Iran 'wasting time' on nuclear demands

Iran is "wasting time" as the west waits for it to deliver its response on a UN-brokered deal for overseas treatment of low-enriched uranium (LEU), French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner said Tuesday. "Iran is wasting time because now is the time for talking," Kouchner said on arrival in Luxembourg for a meeting of European Union foreign ministers. "One day, it will be too late," he added.

6. When in fact Iran to respond to nuclear deal in 2 days (IS THAT WASTING TIME OR WHAT?? - ed.)

TEHRAN - Iran will deliver its response to a UN-brokered deal for the supply of nuclear fuel to Tehran within two days, Fars news agency reported on Tuesday.

"An informed source told Fars that the Islamic Republic of Iran within the next two days will respond to the draft of providing fuel for the Tehran reactor," the report said.

Iran was to respond to the deal by Friday but delayed it until some time this week.

7. Iranian president hails Turkish support

TEHRAN - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Tuesday welcomed visiting Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's defence of the Iranian nuclear programme.

Ahmadinejad, in a statement on the presidential website, said he "appreciates" Erdogan's stand on Iran's atomic programme and on Israel, the Middle East's sole nuclear-armed state.

"When an illicit regime possesses nuclear arms, one can not talk about depriving other nations from the peaceful nuclear programme," he said. "Your clear stance towards the Zionist regime had a positive effect in the world, especially the Islamic world, and I am sure that everyone was satisfied," Ahmadinejad added.

8. Joe Biden is set to stun

excerpts :

MOSCOW. (RIA Novosti political commentator Andrei Fedyashin) - On October 23, U.S. Vice President Joe Biden completed his tour of Eastern Europe, paying visits to Poland, Romania and the Czech Republic.

...

In all three capitals, Mr. Biden had to explain that the U.S. would abandon neither its defense commitments, including both through NATO obligations and bilateral agreements, nor the strong friendship with the three governments. Now there will just be a new political order in which Russia's interests hold more weight than under the Bush administration.

Judging by the recent visits of the 64-year-old Biden (he recently visited Tbilisi to calm down Saakashvili and then the Balkans), it seems that his mission is to provide comfort to the distressed. Before the presidential election, the former chairman of the Senate's Foreign Relations Committee was unanimously called the Democrats' leading foreign policy expert and a foreign policy guru. It must be noted that in the U.S., the notion of foreign policy expertise has a slightly different meaning than in Europe. To earn that title, an American foreign policy expert need only be able to distinguish European countries and world regions, pronounce their names, and have a basic understanding of the general nature of the global trends and regional issues.

Mr. Biden's foreign policy beliefs are defined as "liberal interventionism," but one can hardly call the senator's foreign policy positions consistent. Sometimes it is even hard to make out the difference between his foreign policy position and that of the Bush administration's, except for minor distinctions in details and timelines.

However, Mr. Biden is a master of persuasion, maybe too masterful. Each of Mr. Biden's speeches is a headache and puzzle for his staff. It would be okay if the senator were just a little too talkative, but the problem is that he enjoys talking for so long and in such detail that even in Congress he was called an "unguided missile" or someone who "lacks the filter." Mr. Biden's colleagues and aides become especially nervous when the senator starts his speeches with the phrase "I'll be brief," which usually means that he will diverge so significantly from the original point of the speech that he may even forget what exactly the original speech was about. This has happened with Mr. Biden more than once. He has sometimes talked such drivel that, having argued for a certain position at the beginning of the speech, he appeared an advocate of its exact opposite in the end.

"Joe often didn't know what he thought until he had to say it," noted American researcher Richard Cramer, who analyzed presidential candidates' psychological states during the 1988 election, when Mr. Biden unsuccessfully sought a Democratic nomination.

However, there are situations when Mr. Biden is brought into play, for instance to heal the wounds of upset allies.

9. Georgia - true home of Ashkenazi Jews - nominates Habsburg duchess as envoy to Germany

Tbilisi -- Ex-Soviet Georgia has nominated Gabriela Von Habsburg, a Tbilisi art professor and granddaughter of the last emperor of Austria, as its ambassador to Germany, the foreign ministry said Monday.

Von Habsburg, a 53-year-old member of the Habsburg-Lorraine dynasty also known as Archduchess Gabriela of Austria, was born in Luxembourg and is the daughter of Otto von Habsburg, the former crown prince of Austria.

...Von Habsburg has been teaching at the Academy of Arts in Tbilisi since 2001 and has Georgian citizenship. She is well-known as a sculptor of abstract stainless steel structures.

She has constructed a stone memorial in Tbilisi to the 2003 Rose Revolution that brought President Mikheil Saakashvili to power and participated in pro-Georgia protests during last year's conflict with Russia.

The Habsburgs ruled the Holy Roman Empire from 1438 to 1806, and later the Austro-Hungarian Empire from 1867 until its demise in 1918 at the end of World War I when it was allied with Germany.

10. Bildt's inaction breeds suspicion in Israel

Israel’s government remains surprised that Swedish foreign minister Carl Bildt has yet to reschedule a previously cancelled trip to Israel.

Custom dictates that the foreign minister of the country currently holding the rotating presidency of the European Union pay a visit to officials in Jerusalem.

Bildt had a visit scheduled to take place in September, but the trip was cancelled shortly before it was to take place.

While Bildt cited scheduling conflicts in announcing his decision to forego the September visit, there was speculation in the Israeli press that the Swedish foreign minister decided to skip his trip to avoid dealing with latent hostility following an article published in the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet alleging that the Israeli army had harvested organs from dead Palestinians.

According to a high ranking official in Israel’s foreign ministry, the silence from Bildt regarding a new date for the visit has come as a surprise to officials in Jerusalem, who now suspect that the Swedish foreign minister may be sending a message to Israel.

“If he were a newcomer to diplomacy, it could be somewhat defensible. But Carl Bildt is a very intelligent and experienced man. That makes us think it’s more likely some sort of signal,” the Israeli foreign ministry source told the Dagens Nyheter (DN) newspaper.

Bildt spokesperson Irena Busic insisted, however, that Bildt intends to visit Israel before Sweden’s EU presidency ends at the end of the year, but she had no specifics regarding a possible date.

Relations between Sweden and Israel remain strained following the publishing of the Aftonbladet article about organ theft, with both Bildt and prime minister Fredrik Reinfeldt refusing to publicly condemn the story, despite repeated demands from Israel.

Both argue that speaking out against the article would violate free speech protections in Sweden’s constitution.

SUNDAY’S MASSIVE bomb blasts that killed at least 155 people in Baghdad have exacerbated factional bickering and failed to inject urgency into deliberations of senior Iraqi politicians on an election law for the projected January parliamentary poll.

Speaking for many Iraqis, Hadi al-Ameri, a deputy from the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, castigated prime minister Nuri al-Maliki of the rival Dawa party.

He claimed Iraqi forces were capable of providing security on a daily basis and for the election.

“We’ve heard a lot of brouhaha about successes on the security front. Where are those successes?” Mr Ameri said.

2. Riyadh condemns Baghdad attacks, slams Israel over mosque

HOLLYWOOD HERE WE COME - ed.

Saudi Arabia on Monday condemned the twin suicide bombings that killed around 100 people in the heart of Baghdad in the deadliest day in Iraq for two years. Riyadh also called on the international community to respond to Israel's "violations of holy places in Jerusalem," after Israeli police clashed with Palestinians worshippers around the Al-Aqsa mosque compound.

The cabinet chaired by King Abdullah condemned "the terrorist attacks on government buildings in Baghdad which killed and wounded hundreds of innocent people," a statement said. Baghdad's governor has blamed negligence or even collusion by the security forces for Sunday's devastating bombings at the justice ministry and the capital's provincial government headquarters.

The Saudi cabinet also urged world powers "to accept their responsibilities in the face of (Israel's) violation of holy places in Jerusalem." Israeli police twice entered Al-Aqsa mosque compound on Sunday and clashed with stone-throwing Palestinian youths, after Muslim leaders called on their followers to defend the site.

1. possible explanation for why the census bureau took GPS readings at your front door

by Walter Burien
10/25/09

The government census has over the last year made a very big push to get GPS readings at your front door as many reading this are aware of.

When they came to your house they did not ask "any" questions that a census taker would normally ask such as how many live here; where are you from; what is your name; how old are you; how many children, the only thing they were assigned to do was take a GPS reading at the entrance to your property and at your front door.

2. Cargill hamburger conspiracy - mixing shit and meat

(October 26, 2009) The United States Department of Agriculture has been exposed by the New York Times together with the US meat industry in a criminal conspiracy and fraud against American citizens.

In an article called "E. Coli Path Shows Flaws in Beef Inspection," the Times reports that a woman called Stephanie Smith was paralyzed after being struck down by E.coli traced to a hamburger she had eaten.

Why? Because the meat industry is allowed to sell cow feces mixed with meat as "hamburger."

The New York Times then explains why eating hamburger is always a gamble.

"Neither the system meant to make the meat safe, nor the meat itself, is what consumers have been led to believe, " the Times reports
(http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/04/health/04meat.html?_r=1&pagewanted=all)

"Ground beef is usually not simply a chunk of meat run through a grinder. Instead, records and interviews show, a single portion of hamburger meat is often an amalgam of various grades of meat from different parts of cows and even from different slaughterhouses.

1. Israel caught trying to murder Turkish PM Erdogan

An e-mail found on a personal computer belonging to one of the members of the underground Ergenekon organization exposed Mossad's role in the failed assassination efforts against Erdogan, Turkish media outlets reported on Friday.

The organization has been accused of orchestrating a coup plot against the current Turkish administration.

The indictment list tabled by the Turkish prosecution against the organization says that an Israeli journalist had sent the e-mail to a number of Ergenekon figures to inform them of Israeli readiness to assassinate the Turkish premier.

According to sources in the Turkish press, the e-mail promised support for Mr. Dugo -- whose identity has not been revealed -- against Erdogan after coordination with Mossad chief Meir Dagan.

The e-mail explained that the Mossad would wait for a green light from Mr. Dugo to carry on with the assassination plans.

2. Israel to UN: we'll continue spying in Southern Lebanon

Israeli daily Haaretz revealed on Monday that Israel informed the United Nations that it will continue its spying activities in Southern Lebanon after the United Nations has asked the Zionist entity for clarifications on "listening devices" that were uncovered near the village of Hula in southern Lebanon last week. The request was made following an official Lebanese petition to the UN.
...
The western diplomat said that Hayman did not deny that the equipment was Israeli listening devices, and did not respond directly to the questions asked by his interlocutors. However, he did stress that Israel will make use of its intelligence gathering capabilities so long as Hezbollah pose what he called a threat. "Israel will continue to use all means necessary to defend its citizens," Hayman was quoted as claiming.

Israel is denying Palestinians adequate access to clean, safe water while allowing almost unlimited supplies to Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, human rights group Amnesty International has said. "Swimming pools, well-watered lawns and large irrigated farms in Israeli settlements... stand in stark contrast next to Palestinian villages whose inhabitants struggle even to meet their domestic water needs," the group said in a report released on Tuesday.

Amnesty said between 180,000 and 200,000 Palestinians in West Bank rural communities have no access to running water, while taps in other areas often run dry. "Israel allows the Palestinians access to only a fraction of the shared water resources, which lie mostly in the occupied West Bank", Donatella Rovera, an Amnesty researcher, said.

1. five die in private jet crash near Minsk

MOSCOW, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- Five people were killed in the crash of a Russian business plane near Minsk, the Belarusian capital, on Monday night, Itar-Tass news agency reported. Three crew members and two passengers were on board the plane when it crashed near the Minsk international airport, a Belarusian emergency services official was quoted by Itar-Tass as saying.

The business jet took off from Moscow's Vnukovo airport, and crashed following a failed attempt to make emergency landing, the official said. The wreckage of the plane was found 4 km from the runway.

According to the jet's operator, the S-Air Company, there should have been six people aboard the plane, but the sixth person did not board. The Moscow-based S-Air is a small private company which provides charter services to top-level executives and government officials.

2. Air France crash investigators to issue new report

PARIS — French accident investigators will publish a second interim report in December on the crash of Air France Flight 447 from Brazil to France, a spokeswoman for the investigators said Monday.

The report will contain investigators’ findings on weather conditions, the flight’s automatic maintenance messages and an analysis of "incoherent speed readings" from other flights, said Martine Del Bono, a spokeswoman for France’s accident investigation agency BEA.
...

The BEA released its first set of preliminary findings in July, saying the accident represents one of history’s most challenging plane crash investigations. The probe, which has operated without access to the plane’s flight data and voice recorders, appears so far to have unveiled little about what really caused the accident.

US & Japan not sharing military toys like they used to

Gates gets grumpy in Tokyo

By Peter J Brown

United States Secretary of Defense Robert Gates has to be more mindful of his body language. It says a lot about his state of mind. This is something that can be developed by playing poker, among other things, and given the very high stakes game that is unfolding in Asia, perhaps a round of cards might be just what Gates needs.

[blah blah blah....scroll scroll scroll...oh ha look here military technology discussion! - ed.]

Much to the extreme disappointment of many Japanese military officials and defense planners, what is dead is any hope that the US will export the F-22 to Japan. This stealthy and sophisticated fighter jet has been high on Japan's list for months, even while F-22 weather-related problems, and those related to heavy rain in particular, made this aircraft seem not as invincible as it appeared.

In turn, Gates got not so good news when it came to Japanese exports. Perhaps this was another reason for that unhappy look on his face. After all, besides the base controversy, Gates was in Tokyo to win Japanese approval for SM-3 Block 2A missile exports.

SM-3 Block 2A missiles are state-of-the-art anti-missile weapons that can be deployed on ships. The US and Japan have been working together on this system as well as other high-tech anti-submarine and other cutting-edge defense hardware and software.

Gates, however, is once again confronting anti-US sentiment in the ruling coalition with the Social Democratic Party clearly in the driver's seat on this one. And any deal that would overturn the long-established Japanese ban on weapons exports to nations - other than joint US-Japanese anti-missile systems and components exported to the US - let alone any US-driven deal to this effect, faces stiff resistance.

In other words, when Gates brought this issue up during his meeting with Kitazawa, the Japanese defense minister showed that body language is something he does know well, and he succeeded in not rolling his eyes as he politely informed Gates that the request would be given due consideration.

Because all the indicators point to a done deal down the road, Kitazawa was just being diplomatic, and perhaps pragmatic, just days before the latest round of elections in Japan - two by-elections were held last weekend.

Some in the US who have watched the debate over the viability of Kinetic Energy Interceptor (KEI) technology might find this to be a curious offshore twist to the story of this missile defense program. In other words, whereas at one point KEI was close to termination as a program in the US, it seems as if it was alive and well - and well-funded - far away on the other side of the Pacific.

Japan's contribution in this instance involved the integrity of infrared ray sensors, while the US was responsible for the KEI projectile, which is designed to intentionally collide at very high speed with an incoming enemy ballistic missile.

One export item that remained under the radar screen last week was Mitsubishi Electric Corp's Proximity Link System (PLS), which will be used to guide US-based Orbital Science's future Cygnus resupply mission spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS)
during nine upcoming resupply missions for the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), starting in 2011.

Just days before Gates arrived in Japan, Mitsubishi Electric announced the $66 million PLS deal, which involved technology originally developed for use on the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV).

As unmanned PLS-equipped spacecraft approach the ISS, the PLS serves as an automated guidance, rendezvous and docking mechanism. It establishes a link to the Proximity Communication System, which was installed in the ISS with the Japanese Kibo Experimental Module.

The successful operation and reliability of the PLS has no doubt caught the attention of the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and specifically the DARPA team working on the "Future, Fast, Flexible, Fractionated, Free-Flying spacecraft" project known simply as F6.

F6 involves replacing today's large monolithic spacecraft with clusters or groups of wirelessly linked elements, or nodes, which execute or replicate a specific spacecraft function. You simply unite these nodes together in space, and presto, you have a satellite.

PLS would greatly enhance recoupling to the extent that pairs of F6 nodes would engage in refueling or other mated operations in space. However, because under the existing Japanese export rules, a PLS system could not be exported to the US for use by DARPA - again the "D" stands for "Defense" - DARPA will have to look elsewhere or Japan will have to further revise and amend its export regulations.

So, whereas SM-3 Block 2A missiles can be exported to the US under exemption approved in 2004, perhaps PLS systems can only be exported the US on a limited basis, and only to non-defense US customers at this time absent further revisions or amendments.

1. Syria's Golan Heights: Can international law forestall a Golanian Intifada?

Qunaitra, Liberated Capital of the Syrian Golan Heights

Pressure increasing on Syria’s government to retake the Heights by force

Nationals from nearly one-third of the 192 member states of the United Nations met in Damascus last week to discuss the Return/Liberation of the Golan Heights. An estimated 5000 researchers, Lawyers, politicians, activists, victims of Israel’s 42 years of occupation, students and members of the public, attended the opening event in Qunaitra, the Golan capital city, which in a frenzy of frustration at being forced to return the city it had occupied since 1967 (Comment: think Gaza 2005), the Israeli ordered bulldozed, shelled, and booby trapped by its retreating forces as Qunaitra was surrendered to Syria.

The Conference heard the likes of former US Attorney General Ramsey Clark argue that the International community and rules of International law could not be clearer in requiring the full return of the 1,860 sq. meters of the Syrian territory, despite Israeli claims over the years of ‘border irregularities’

As the International Court of Justice declared in the Burkina Faso and Malie cases, two former French colonies, the frontier existing at the moment of independence, which Syria achieved in April 1946, is frozen like a snapshot taken at the exact moment of Independence.

Some attendees at the large Damascus conclave, often huddling on the sidelines, discussed, analyzed and even advocated a Golan Intifada. They argued that the whole international community, except Israel, and the full corpus of international law, supported the immediate and complete return of the Syrian Golan Height’s to the nearly 350,000 displaced Golan inhabitants, being those who make up 90% of the Golan’s pre-1967 population from the 130 villages and 112 agricultural areas Israel destroyed as it occupied the Golan. These delegates explained to observers that Resistance in all its forms may be the most realistic path for the return of the Golan. They point to the success of the Hezbollah led National Lebanese Resistance in regaining most of Lebanon’s Zionist occupied territory.

2. Iran's smokescreen in Vienna not completely dissipated

opinion, excerpts:

MOSCOW. (RIA Novosti political commentator Dmitry Kosyrev) - It seemed that everything was going according to plan. Except that only experts in nuclear weapons and nuclear energy fully understood what took place these last two days at the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna.

These experts, representing the United States, Russia, France and Iran, discussed a very confidential but key aspect of what is termed the "Iranian nuclear problem."

The only thing that is clear is that Director General Mohamed ElBaradei was quoted as saying that the negotiations were successful and that he himself subsequently drafted an agreement that all four governments are to endorse on Friday.

...

Now, the question that remains is what all the fuss was about. Take, for example, the recent article in The Washington Post that said that all of Iran's low-enriched uranium is contaminated with molybdenum compounds and that this was due to an inconvenience of equipment at the plant in Isfahan. And now the uranium cannot be further enriched to weapons grade, or any grade for that matter. In other words, Iran needs international cooperation and it needs it a great deal.

This immediately casts all talk of Iran's military plans and capabilities in an entirely different light, no matter how much Tehran threatens it neighbors.

In addition, the U.S. media has reopened a discussion on the U.S. intelligence report of 2007. At the time, the intelligence services reported that Iran had already halted its nuclear weapons program in 2003. This report somehow immediately froze the previous U.S. administration's activity with regard to Iran, although the word "sanctions" was pronounced thereafter with the same consistency, but without the previous passion.

Now the discussion is about reconsidering the report in a more negative light, at the very least because the U.S. intelligence services somehow missed the Qum plant. Nobody in Washington wants to give a clear answer. Confirming or denying the ineffectiveness of one's intelligence services is not a simple matter. But the question remains as to whether the previous U.S. administration needed real facts on Iran and whether facts had anything to do with it at all.

...

The upside to this story is that Iran's smokescreen in Vienna has not completely dissipated, but the process is going well. And it is obvious that the crux of the matter with Iran is not that the U.S. and its allies are trying to force an "evil government" to give up its nuclear ambitions through sanctions, and Russia and China scuttle these sanctions using their UN Security Council status. It seems that the gist of it was that the U.S. [ISRAEL - ed.] wanted to change regimes they regard as evil through false accusations, threats, wars or by any other means. This has led to dire consequences - Iran (and North Korea) could have been scared into actually starting nuclear weapons programs and to be sure, their neighbors were being intimidated by this threat.

3. Israel has lost Turkey as a strategic ally

Turkey was said to have suspended up to $1 billion in proposed Israeli defense projects after canceling a major air exercise with Israel.

A leading Israeli defense analyst said the government of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan has decided to end defense and military cooperation with Israel. Analyst Ron Ben-Yishai said the Turkish Defense Ministry has shelved a range of proposed Israeli projects.

“New deals worth tens and hundreds of millions of dollars offered by Israel's defense industries to the Turkish Army, as well as cooperation with Turkish colleagues, are being put on hold or cancelled altogether,” Ben-Yishai said in a report.

The report warned that Israel has lost Turkey as a strategic ally. Ben-Yishai said the government and military were seeking a substitute for Ankara, a task that would prove difficult.

...
The report said the loss of Turkey as a strategic ally has harmed Israel's deterrence, particularly toward Iran and Syria. But Ben-Yishai said the Israel Air Force would not be significantly affected by Turkey's decision to ban the Jewish regime from the Anatolian Eagle exercise.

4. "Iran is our friend" says Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan

excerpt:

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran's radical president whose fiery rhetoric has made him a bête noire of the west? "There is no doubt he is our friend," said Erdogan, Turkey's prime minister for the last six years. "As a friend so far we have very good relations and have had no difficulty at all."

What about Nicolas Sarkozy, president of France, who has led European opposition to Turkey's bid to join the EU and, coincidentally, adopted a belligerent tone towards Iran's nuclear programme? Not a friend?

"Among leaders in Europe there are those who have prejudices against Turkey, like France and Germany. Previously under Mr Chirac, we had excellent relations [with France] and he was very positive towards Turkey. But during the time of Mr Sarkozy, this is not the case. It is an unfair attitude. The European Union is violating its own rules.

5. Israel hell bent on final confrontation against Iran

It’s becoming increasingly apparent to the entire world now that, no matter what Iran does with regard to its nuclear program, it will never be enough for Israel and Israel will continue to pursue its witch-hunt against Iran until the regime in Iran has been changed and it will use Iran’s so-called ‘nuclear weapons program’ as the excuse they need to eventually instigate a final confrontation that they hope will lead to that regime change.

...
The reality is this: Iran, as it keeps telling the world, has no nuclear weapons program and is intent only on generating electrical energy. Israel insists that Iran does have a nuclear weapons program – despite the total lack of evidence – because it wants to use it as an excuse to attack Iran, together with the US, in order to bring about regime change so that Israel can then deal once and for all with Hezbollah in Lebanon which they then hope will result in access to the much needed waters of the Litani River. They can also then deal with Hamas in the Gaza Strip after which they can then do as they please with the Palestinians in the Strip without fear of resistance.

Israel will not show their hand because they have no hand to show. Israel’s game is all bluff designed to get the world to support an attack on Iran that will lead to regime change.

6. Washington caught off guard by Netanyahu visit

25/10/2009 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's intention to visit Washington for the annual UJC General Assembly has surprised many on Capitol Hill and was apparently not coordinated with the Obama administration.

An American source told Ynet Sunday that news of the visit had been received with reserved astonishment. The Obama administration has not yet responded to questions of whether a meeting with Netanyahu was forthcoming due to their surprise over the unscheduled visit. On the other hand, failure to invite Netanyahu to the White House may be perceived as a diplomatic crisis.

Sources in Tel Aviv say Netanyahu did indeed decide to attend the GA without first consulting President Barack Obama, but that since the latter would also be present at the event the two may meet in any case. The sources say a summit between the two leaders would be superfluous at this point in the peace process, and for this reason an official meeting has not been scheduled.

An official statement regarding Netanyahu's visit is scheduled to be published soon in the US, and an unofficial oral announcement has already been given by the Jewish Federations' leaders. The Israeli prime minister's visit is scheduled to take place on November 8-10.

1. Oath Keepers doubles it's paid membership after Chris Matthews spat all over himself trying to throw Stewart Rhodes under the bus

No amount of controversy will keep Oath Keepers from educating people about what it means to support and defend the Constitution.

That was the message Saturday during the kickoff of the group's inaugural national conference, a two-day event that comes at a time when Oath Keepers is experiencing a surge in membership and notoriety.

Started earlier this year by Las Vegas resident Stewart Rhodes, Oath Keepers is a nonprofit organization made up primarily of current and former police and military personnel who renew their oaths to the Constitution.

Rhodes, a former Army paratrooper and Yale University Law School graduate, opened the conference at Texas Station with a warning that Washington politicians cannot be trusted to uphold their oaths to the Constitution.

...
Navy Cmdr. David Gillie, a board member of Oath Keepers and the group's national Navy liaison, conducted a public oath ceremony Saturday afternoon.

...
The group has close to 2,000 dues-paying members, twice the number it had last week, said Dave Freeman, a board member and the group's national peace officer liaison.

Oath Keepers has heard from thousands more who have expressed interest in becoming members, Freeman said.

A Review-Journal profile of Oath Keepers last week helped thrust Rhodes into the national media spotlight.

2. heavily armed law enforcement teams will scatter across the Bay Area this weekend -- including foreign troops

Armed officers in full battle gear will be scattered throughout the Bay Area this weekend, rescuing hostages, fighting bank robbers and quelling terrorism at the Oakland Airport, Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, the NASA Ames Research Center and 22 other high profile sites.

There will be the sound of gunfire and blasts — all part of Urban Shield, one of the biggest domestic terrorism drills in the country. The $1 million, two-day event begins Saturday and will test the training of 27 crack teams from throughout the state, elsewhere in the country and the world.

For the first time in the three-year history of the Alameda County Sheriff's Department-sponsored exercise, there will be a foreign team of officers taking part and international observers. An eight-member team representing the French National Police's Research, Assistance, Intervention, and Dissuasion unit will compete.

...

Romulad Muller, police attache with the French Embassy in Washington, D.C., who accompanied the team, described them as the French "Dream Team." Members began training six months ago to learn how to combat the stress and fatigue they will face.

All 27 teams will run through each of the 25 scenarios. About 3,000 people are involved in the $1 million event, the cost of which is covered by Homeland Security grants and corporate sponsorships.

War on Terror is not about Islamofascism! Please get with the real agenda you people! by Zahir Ibrahim

excerpts:

Indeed, the MIAC report is just the latest in a series of similar threat assessment documents that list average American citizens as dangerous extremists and potential terrorists.

We discovered that similar propaganda was being disseminated from the very top in September 2006 when it was revealed that the Bush administration had been targeting “conspiracy theorists” as terrorist recruiters.

President Bush himself gave speeches about a White House “strategy paper” that formed “an unclassified version of the strategy we’ve been pursuing since September the 11th, 2001,” that takes into account, “the changing nature of this enemy.” '

...

It gives me no pleasure to pen this footnote to history. And just as the “changing nature of this enemy” was eventually going to transform into the patriotic American activist, was palpably obvious as hell to me in 2003, it is also blatantly obvious today that the 'one-world' government [6] under construction will lead to the extermination of several billion people on the planet.

1. Worst Case - choosing who survives a flu epidemic

by Sheri Fink

[NYT puts a dramatic photo up top of baby with "a flu" being treated with an inhaler to prime the pump of your emotions - ed.]

New York state health officials recently laid out this wrenching [HYPOTHETICAL PULLED OUT OF THEIR ASS UNREALITY - ed.] scenario for a small group of medical professionals from New York-Presbyterian Hospital:

A 32-year-old man with cystic fibrosis is rushed to the hospital with appendicitis in the midst of a worsening pandemic caused by the H1N1 flu virus, which has mutated into a more deadly form. The man is awaiting a lung transplant and brought with him the mechanical ventilator that helps him breathe.

New York’s governor has declared a state of emergency and hospitals are following the state’s pandemic ventilator allocation plan — actual guidelines drafted in 2007 that are now being revisited. The plan aims to direct ventilators to those with the best chances of survival in a severe, 1918-like flu pandemic where tens of thousands develop life-threatening pneumonia.

3. Obama's H1N1 national emergency declaration could invoke FEMA reponse to pandemic (option)

(NaturalNews) President Obama's declaration of a national pandemic emergency is "no cause for alarm," reported the mainstream media throughout the weekend. The declaration is nothing more than a "precaution," they say. "It's really more a continuation of our preparedness steps," said Anne Schuchat, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, in a USA Today story.

In other words, there's not really any emergency at all. So why declare a national emergency in the first place? The media reports this was done to allow hospitals to bypass federal regulations concerning the setting up of large-scale triage sites -- emergency medical camps quickly constructed to deal with large numbers of sick people.

But at the same time, H1N1 isn't causing large-scale sickness. As USA Today reported, an expert on infectious disease, P.J. Brennan (the chief medical officer for the Penn Health System at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia) said, "The public ought to take some solace, some relief in this. It's not a suggestion that things have deteriorated in any way. In no way is the virus more severe or more difficult to manage."

So let me get this straight. The H1N1 virus remains mild. The CDC reports that swine flu infections already peaked out in mid-October. There have been no new developments in swine flu that would be cause for alarm and no reason to suspect huge numbers of sick people flooding into the hospitals. And yet, for some reason, the Obama administration has declared a national pandemic emergency specifically for the purpose of speeding the ability of hospitals to process large masses of sick people through emergency medical triage tents?

What are these people not telling us?

Something doesn't add up here. Why would the U.S. government need to declare a national emergency to enable hospitals to handle a flood of sick people when there is no flood of sick people (and the pandemic seems to be fizzling out)?

This is more like the kind of preparation you might expect in advance of a biological terrorism attack, not for a flu that appears no more dangerous than the seasonal sniffles.

KABUL — Fourteen Americans were killed in Afghanistan on Monday in two separate incidents involving helicopters.

Seven soldiers and three civilian employees of the U.S. embassy — all of them Americans — were killed in a helicopter crash in western Afghanistan, military officials said, and in southern Afghanistan, the midair collision of two coalition helicopters resulted in the deaths of four American soldiers. A spokeswoman said gunfire from insurgents was not to blame for the collision.

Before the crash, a team from the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force was searching a compound suspected of harboring insurgents involved in the narcotics trade, according to an ISAF statement. A firefight then broke out and “more than a dozen enemy fighters” were killed.

“As the joint force was departing the area, one helicopter went down due to unconfirmed reasons,” the statement said, adding that a recovery operation was sent to the scene to deal with coalition casualties.

Authorities closed off streets leading to the bomb sites, which were littered with charred bodies and torn-off limbs, as fire trucks and ambulances struggled through thick traffic to reach the blazing buildings.

The attacks, which occurred within minutes of each other, destroyed dozens of cars and shattered water pipes, spewing dirty water onto nearby streets. Several helicopters were flying overhead the area and dozens of humvees were lining the streets near the attack sites.

1. German courtroom killing trial starts, security tight

[TOO BAD IT WASN'T TOO TIGHT WHEN THIS SOCIOPATH MURDERED MARWA EL-SHERBINY - ED.]

DRESDEN, Germany, Oct 26 (Reuters) - The trial of a man accused of killing a pregnant Egyptian woman in a German courtroom opened on Monday in a case that has incensed many in the Muslim world.

The stabbing in July of 31-year-old Marwa El-Sherbiny, pregnant and a mother of a 3-year-old, prompted accusations that Germany tolerated xenophobia and anti-Islamic views and caused protests in Egypt and Iran.

Security is tight for the trial of Sherbiny's attacker, a German of Russian origin identified by media only as "Alex W.", to guard against any outbreak of violence.

About 200 police officers secured the court in the eastern city of Dresden and the accused sat behind bulletproof glass, a police spokesman said.

"This trial is seen as having a higher than usual security risk," the spokesman said.

The killing took place in a court in Dresden where the alleged attacker was appealing a conviction for insulting Sherbiny by calling her an "Islamist", "terrorist" and "slut" when she asked him to make room for her son to play on swings in a playground.

The killer also stabbed Sherbiny's husband. German police then shot the husband in the leg, having mistaken him for the attacker.

Germany, which has the second-biggest Muslim population in western Europe after France, was criticised for taking days to condemn the murder.

Media in Islamic countries have given broad coverage to the death of Sherbiny, describing the veiled woman as a "martyr". (Writing by Sarah Marsh; Editing by Angus MacSwan)

2. 'veil martyr' trial opens as Egypt pushes for the max

Berlin -- Cairo is pushing for a life sentence for a man standing trial in Dresden for the murder of a veiled Egyptian woman in a case that stoked anger against Germany in the Muslim world.

"A team of senior German lawyers have been hired by (Egypt) to defend the interests of the deceased's family... in order to secure the maximum penalty allowed by German law," a foreign ministry statement said.

The defendant, for legal reasons named only as Alex W, is accused of stabbing to death Marwa al-Sherbini on July 1 in a Dresden courtroom, after she had sued him for calling her an "Islamist" and a "terrorist."

The 28-year-old man, who was born in Russia, plunged an 18-cm (seven-inch) kitchen knife into Sherbini, 31, three months pregnant at the time with her second child, at least 16 times. She bled to death at the scene.

He is also charged with attempting to murder her husband, Elwy Okaz, in the same frenzied attack. All this happened in front of their young son, aged three and a half at the time.

...
With no security in the courtroom, it took several minutes for a police officer to arrive, who then proceeded to shoot Okaz in the leg, believing him to be the attacker. He survived.

The assassin, Alex W., a Russian immigrant notoriously reputed as a "xenophobic fanatic", first appeared before the court in 2008 for having insulted the young woman as a "terrorist, Islamist bitch" because she wore the Islamic veil. He was fined for the insults.

But prosecutors appealed after he openly declared in court that "these people" are not "real human beings." He had appeared at the Dresden court to answer for those statements when he pounced on Marwa El-Sherbini, who had come to testify, killing her. The husband of the victim who had tried interposing himself between the two was accidentally shot by German police. He is, currently, in critical condition.

Here, Jeremy Ben-Ami describes a one-state solution as a "nightmare":

JG: But they’re by no means Zionists. Helena Cobban, who is going to be speaking on this blogger panel, is close to a one-stater, as far as I can tell.

JB: J Street officially will not use the term "One-State Solution." That is an oxymoron because it is a one-state nightmare. That is the thing we are most opposed to — moving in a one-state direction.

JG: A nightmare for practical reasons or a nightmare for moral reasons?

JB: A nightmare for the Jewish people. There would be no more Israel. One state is not a solution, one state is a dissolution.

Look at his words, it’s really amazing. He could be a white supremacist in the south contemplating the end of Jim Crow, or an Afrikaner talking about the end of apartheid. All this is apparently so unremarkable however when it comes to Zionists contemplating the end of Jewish supremacy. This, as well as J Street’s other recent actions, convince me more than ever that this organization will not be part of the solution. It is at best Kadima to AIPAC’s Likud/Yisrael Beitenu. 1. E Asia, ASEAN cooperate for common good

Sixteen countries across Asia and the Pacific are cozying up to find their way out of the economic recession together.

At a weekend meeting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Premier Wen Jiabao said China said it would provide $15 billion in credit to other ASEAN countries and 270 million yuan ($40 million) in special aid to less developed members of the group.

China announced in April it would set up a $10-billion China-ASEAN fund for investment cooperation to support infrastructure development in the region.

Leaders also said they would jointly fight other major challenges such as global warming, food and energy crises, and disaster relief.

Analysts say deepening regionalization would empower Asia and Pacific countries at a critical time when the economic recession has yet to end.

...

"ASEAN's regional integration is going on, but the countries have too many differences, raging from political systems and culture to religion. That makes it more difficult for us to set up a EU-style group in the region," said Su Hao, director of the Center for Strategic and Conflict Management with the China Foreign Affairs University.

Kavi Chongkittavorn, former assistant to the ASEAN secretary-general, said the group is divided along "ideological and generational lines" that have left it polarized on issues like human rights, political intervention and territorial disputes.

"They have to catch up to new political concepts, or the whole thing will crumble," Kavi said.

Since opening on Friday, the 15th ASEAN summit saw disagreements among member nations that overshadowed the meeting's theme - enhancing connectivity - and raised questions on how unified the bloc truly is.

Poor attendance marred the start of the meeting, when leaders from some of the largest Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, did not show up for the opening ceremony on Friday, citing reasons ranging from weather disturbances to domestic obligations.

Despite its goal of creating a community, ASEAN's main challenge in recent months has been to dampen long-running conflicts and disagreements.

2. ASEAN leaders back Japan's EAC

CHA-AM : Asean leaders have backed Japan's East Asian Community concept but cautioned that it will not become reality overnight.

The Japanese-proposed idea overshadowed the meeting of the East Asia summit yesterday which brought together 10 Asean leaders and their six partners from China, Japan, South Korea, India, Australia and New Zealand.

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said after the meeting of 16 leaders that Asean agreed with Japan's East Asian Community (EAC) proposal but said it would not be realised in the next two or three years.

The EAC needed more study starting with a meeting of officials in early December in Australia to seek more details of the concept, a government source said.

An issue which remains to be debated is the role of the US in the EAC.

Under President Barack Obama, the US wants to play a bigger role in Asia. The new Japanese government has also made clear its position that its alliance with the US is the cornerstone of its policy.

Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama said on Saturday the EAC concept should have some room for the US to play.

But Mr Hatoyama reacted cautiously to the US involvement yesterday.

"It's not a matter of who will be included or not. There is no need to decide now whether we should include the United States or not," he said.

3. Japan PM pushes for 'equal' ties with US

TOKYO — Japan's centre-left Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama stressed in his first policy address to parliament Monday that he wants a relationship of equals with chief ally the United States.

Hatoyama, who took power last month, was speaking ahead of Barack Obama's first visit to Tokyo as US president on November 12-13 and amid a row about where to relocate a major US base on a southern island.

"The close and equal alliance between Japan and the United States is the foundation" of efforts to secure regional peace that would benefit Japan, Asia and the entire world, he said.

...

In his parliamentary address, Hatoyama pledged closer cooperation with the United States in the fight against global warming and strong support for "President Obama's courageous proposal for a nuclear-free world."

Hatoyama also said he sought closer cooperation with Russia and vowed to solve a long-standing territorial row with Moscow over four islands which Soviet troops occupied in the closing days of World War II.

"I will position Russia as a partner in the Asia-Pacific region and will strengthen cooperative relations," Hatoyama said, without elaborating.

Pressing his vision of an EU-style Asian community, he also said he would promote cooperation with South Korea, China, the Southeast Asian nations and other Asian countries.

Domestically, Hatoyama spoke on his vision of a kinder, gentler society guided by the spirit of "fraternity" and said market forces are useful for a country but must be tempered to create a liveable society.

"It is self-evident that free economic activity in markets invigorates society," he said. "But it is also obvious that the idea of letting markets decide everything for the survival of the strongest, or the idea of 'economic rationalism' at the expense of people's lives, does not hold true any more."

1. PAST: timeline of the Rothschild family

The Rothschilds have been in control of the world for a very long time, their tentacles reaching into many aspects of our daily lives, as is documented in the following timeline. However, before you jump to the timeline, please read this invaluable introduction which will tell you who the Rothschilds are as oppose to who they claim to be.

The Rothschilds claim that they are Jewish, when in fact they are Khazars. They are from a country called Khazaria, which occupied the land locked between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea which is now predominantly occupied by Georgia. The reason the Rothschilds claim to be Jewish is that the Khazars under the instruction of the King, converted to the Jewish faith in 740 A.D., but of course that did not include converting their Asiatic Mongolian genes to the genes of the Jewish people.

You will find that approximately 90% of people in the world today who call themselves Jews are actually Khazars, or as they like to be known, Ashkenazi Jews. These people knowingly lie to the world with their claims that the land of Israel is theirs by birthright, when in actual fact their real homeland is over 800 miles away in Georgia.

So, next time you hear an Israeli Prime Minister bleating about the so-called persecution of the Jews, consider this, every Prime Minister of Israel has been an Ashkenazi Jew. Therefore when all these Prime Ministers have curried favour with the West for their re-establishment of a Jewish homeland, they have knowingly and deliberately lied to you, as they were never from that region, and they well know it, because it is they who call themselves Ashkenazi Jews.

They got tied to the dollar at the close of ww2, now with china's help, that has come to an end. Remember, they who have the gold, rule. Not they who talk more crap than the early morning radio. Military operates on it's stomach, no money, no movement. Plus, japan is tired and over the unprosecuted rape cases. Personally, I am waiting for blackwater now called x'ce to get thrown under the bus and let the natives have at them, with no more support and cover from the state dept. Bring the military home and let the private army face it's demise. It's coming anyhow.

3. FUTURE: remove viewing Tibetan monks

Remote viewing is nothing new in Tibetan monasteries. For thousands of years remote viewing in the middle of other spiritual activities have dominated Tibetan culture. What some Indian tourists came to learn from a few Tibetan monasteries under the current Chinese rule is extremely alarming and fascinating.

According to these tourists remote viewers are seeing world powers in the course of self-destruction. They also see that the world will not be destroyed. Between now and 2012 the world super powers will continue to engage in regional wars. Terrorism and covert war will be the main problem. In world politics something will happen in and around 2010. At that time the world powers will threaten to destroy each other.

Between 2010 and 2012, the whole world will get polarized and prepare for the ultimate dooms day. Heavy political maneuvers and negotiations will take place with little progress.

In 2012, the world will start plunging into a total destructive nuclear war.

And at that time something remarkable will happen, says, Buddhist monk of Tibet. Supernatural divine powers will intervene. The destiny of the world is not to self-destruct at this time.

Traitor Sunday...get motivated indeed

Nozette and Nuclear Rocketry

by Steven Aftergood

Stewart D. Nozette, who was arrested and charged this week under the Espionage Act, is an unusually gifted and accomplished technologist. The allegation that he provided classified information to an FBI agent posing as an Israeli intelligence officer in exchange for cash is distressing on several levels.

Among other things, Nozette had exceptionally broad access to a range of classified programs in defense, space and nuclear technology. According to an FBI affidavit (pdf), Nozette stated that he “held a DOE Q clearance from 1990-2000, which involved insight into all aspects of nuclear weapons programs. Held TS/SI/TK/B/G clearance 1998-2006,… Held at least 20+ SAP [special access program clearances]… from 1998-2004.”

In fact, however, Nozette’s participation in Department of Defense special access programs dates back even earlier, to 1990 or so. At that time he was read into an unacknowledged special access program called Timber Wind (pdf), which was an effort by the Strategic Defense Initiative Organization to develop a rocket engine powered by a nuclear reactor. Dr. Nozette’s name appears on a Timber Wind master access list we obtained which identified the several hundred persons who were authorized to be briefed on that nuclear rocket program.

Traitors on a Plane

by Mantiq al-Tayr

1. I’ve had it being Mr. Nice Mantiq al-Tayr. These United States are permeated with traitors who pretend to be part of our society but whose loyalties lie elsewhere; said fact being a cause of tremendous damage to this country. No, I’m not talking about the likes of the absolute fraud bull-shitter lying pretend and extremely bigoted Zionist war-mongering fake orientalist David Gaubatz who claims he knows Arabic because he attended classes at the Foreign Service Institute. More on this paranoid loon in a later post.

I’m talking instead about the likes of traitor Tsvi Mark who recently completed his first year at West Point. He then got on a plane with 237 other traitors from North American countries and flew off to Israel. He did so in order to join an “elite” unit (the Hebrew word for “elite” means “really good at murdering Palestinians”) in the Israeli military. On that very same plane, over 50 others, at least, were going right into the Israeli military. It appears that almost all of the passengers were on the plane in order to “make aliya” (Hebrew for “to betray your country”) to Israel and thus become Israeli ci

tizens. And you get to help pay for it. Keep reading.

Tomorrow in Forth Worth, TX, George W. Bush kicks off his career as motivational speaker

George W. Bush to become motivational speaker

By Nick Allen

On Monday, the former US president – whose policies inspired millions of Americans to vote Democrat in the 2008 election- will headline at a popular Get Motivated programme, appearing at a seminar about, among other things, “How to master the art of effective leadership”.

Mr Bush will speak at an event in Fort Worth, Texas on Monday and another one in San Antonio in December.

He will give advice on mak

ing decisions and how to lead large organisations, his spokesman said. He also intends to talk about his achievements and setbacks while in office.

Appearing alongside Mr Bush will be Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New Y

ork, and Colin Powell, the former secretary of state.

Wayne Slater, co-author of “Bush’s Brain: How Karl Rove Made George W. Bush Presidential,” said the speeches were part of an attempt to secure the former president’s future reputation.

He said: “This is part of the legacy tour. George Bush, who left office with a couple of unpopular wars and an economy going down the tubes, is going to be on the stage with winners, not losers.”
