The Iranian Foreign Ministry is saying Israel’s attack on Gaza was to placate Israeli Public Opinion.
Gush Shalom’s Uri Avneri, a leading figure in the Israeli Peace Movement is saying it is for the election campaign.
This all begs the question: From where could a population develop such genocidal cravings?
It can be from personal experience, most unlikely, it is not as if Israel has been invaded, or that the majority of citizens feel threatened. Or that so many have been hurt or died.
It can be incitement from Political or Religious leaders.
It can be being brainwashed by the Media.
Or finally a surreptitious order from the ruling economic elite, that is, the Military Industrial Complex (who anyway own the media, and probably the politicians and maybe the Religious leaders.) to whom one’s boss is indebted.
