the only question that matters: is it true?

Iran has signed the NPT. As a signatory to the NPT, Iran may rightfully, legally, use nuclear technology for peaceful energy purposes. Iran has submitted to and passed repeated IAEA inspections. The US intelligence community (NIE) does not consider Iran a nuclear threat. Israel refuses to sign the NPT. Israel has an estimated several hundred undeclared nuclear weapons. Russia and China have warned that an attack on Iran will have global consequences. That's the situation in a nutshell. Where to next, people? Where to?

Gaza Seen from Paris

There are surely millions of us, invisible to each other, enraged and powerless as we watch the massacre of Gaza and listen to our media describe it as a "retaliation against terrorism", "Israel’s right to defend itself". We have reached a point where answering the Zionist arguments is both useless and unworthy of humanity. So long as it is recognized that the shells landing on Ashkelon are likely to have been fired by descendants of the inhabitants of that region who were driven out by the Zionists in 1948, talk of peace is a smoke screen for continued Israeli assault on the survivors of that great injustice.

What then is to be done? Yet another dialogue between "moderate" Arabs and "progressive" Israelis? An umpteenth "peace plan" to be ignored? A solemn declaration from the European Union?

US military re-supplying Israel with ammunition through Greece

Report: US military re-supplying Israel with ammunition through Greece

Thursday January 08, 2009 22:04 by Saed Bannoura - IMEMC News

As the Israeli occupation terrorist forces continue to pound the crowded, impoverished and imprisoned population of the Gaza Strip with the full force of its military might, Israel's strongest ally, the United States, announced plans to ship large amounts of ammunition to the Israeli forces – as it did during Israel's 2006 invasion of Lebanon, when the Israelis ran out of (internationally-banned) cluster bombs, and the US shipped them tens of thousands more.

The US Military Sealift Command on Dec. 31st published a solicitation for bids from shipping companies to ship two boats, each containing 168 TEU's (twenty-foot equivalent container units) of ammunition, from Greece to Israel.

Straight from the Ass's Mouth: Israeli Hasbara (Talking Points) Memo

The next stage of Operation Cast Lead
The achievement: During the first week of Operation Cast Lead the Hamas terror organization suffered a heavy blow – dozens of its commanders and hundreds of terrorists were killed, ammunition stores were destroyed and its arms production capabilities and tunnel smuggling infrastructure were damaged. Hamas’s ability to govern was also impaired. Its senior leaders completely abandoned the population and are concerned only in saving their own skins. (Mohammed Bassiouni, Chairman of the Egyptian parliament’s foreign relations committee asked, “Where is the Hamas leadership? They are all hiding in underground bunkers while Gaza is being attacked.”)

The lie of Israeli victimhood revealed

h/t Kenny's Sideshow

The pro-Zionist Western press are playing down Israel’s response to yesterdays Katyusha attack launched from south Lebanon against Israel saying that the “relatively low-key response… indicates that Israel has no desire to escalate the situation”. The reality is that ‘Israel has no desire to be seen to escalate the situation’ preferring, as usual, to manipulate the propaganda in such a way as to make it seem as though Israel was attacked without provocation. Indeed, the article in the UKs right-wing and staunchly pro-Zionist ‘Daily Telegraph’ infers that the attack was unexpected and without provocation. However, the article ignores entirely the overflights by the Israeli Air Force (IAF) into Lebanese airspace prior to the Katyusha launchings. Instead the Daily Telegraph refers only to the IAF overflights made after the attacks thus reinforcing the notion that Israel was attacked without provocation. On this occasion the ‘Daily Telegraph’ has been caught out indulging in a deliberate deceit.

The unspoken war of terror on the Israelis

Israel’s purpose is to be the saviour of the Jews. It has attracted the support of wealthy and powerful Jews everywhere. And we all currently bear witness to the brutality waged on the Palestinians.

But there is also a wider war going on: To maintain the Jewish nation, and that is something larger than the Israeli state. Jews in the Diaspora help Israel, and Israelis return the help for the Jews outside of Israel.

There is such a density of power that it requires agents, fodder and brains. A machine. Every jew with an ability must buckle under. One does not do their service and retire, this is a life long quest. Because humans are humans, there are those that desist. But they learn the terror of pain dished out to those refusing to be a cog.

Loved ones are the first victims, but there are no limits. An Israeli understands very well. Help the mob and then take some crumbs. And so we have a manifestation of, a generation of blood lust. The fear of refusal is taught ruthlessly. And like everywhere else, the true power lies hidden.

Gaza medics describe horror of strike that killed 70

Reminiscent of the war crimes of the Wehrmacht, there have been reports of civilians being rounded up, collected together, and then killed, in areas occupied by the IDF. This is a confirmed report on just one such incident, perhaps the most deadly so far known, of the deliberate butchering of 70 civilians and later Israeli troops shooting at those who tried to rescue the survivors during the brief cease fire, so that at least some wounded had to be left to die. The BBC and New York Times are now reporting on additional war crimes in Zeitoun, this time confirmed by the International Red Cross.

The brutal force of Israel's "total war" on Gaza

BTselem, the Israeli group that monitors human rights in the occupied territory, spoke to 19-year-old Meysa a-Samuni, a young woman with an infant daughter, who witnessed the massacre of much of her family in the Zeitun neighborhood south of Gaza City. They were killed when Israeli troops shelled a house which they and others had been ordered to enter.

She told BTselem: On Sunday [4 January], around 9 a.m., soldiers came to the house of my father-in-law, Rashed a-Samuni, which is located next to a concrete engineering company. We were 14 people in the house, all of us from a-Samuni family: me, my husband, Tawfiq, 21, our infant, Jumana, nine months old, my father-in-law, Rashed, 41, my mother-in-law, Rabab, 38, and my husbands brothers, Musa, 19, Walid, 17, Halmi, 14, Zeineb, 12, Muhammad, 11, Shaban, 9, Issa, 7, Islam, 12, Israa, 2.

The soldiers came to the house on foot and knocked on the door. We opened and then, threatening us with weapons, they forced us to leave the house. They had bulletproof vests on and had automatic weapons. Their faces were painted black. We left the house. Walid ran from another door of the house, but the soldiers caught him.

Eugenics, GMO foods, chemtrails, secret societies and esoteric symbolism, false-flag terror, how the U.S. Corporate media covers the Israeli Palestinian Conflict, and the Ron Paul freedom movement can all be paths out of the cave. Once people’s minds are stimulated with seeking the truth they tend to want to seek more. Israel's UNFORGIVABLE Crimes

Simply beyond the pale. What kind of monsters are these Israelis? - Ed.

Red Cross workers and four ambulances from the Palestine Red Crescent Society managed to enter the Zaytun neighborhood of Gaza City on Wednesday, according to a written release. The crew found four children, too weak to stand, next to their dead mothers in a house containing 12 corpses, the statement says.

Other houses revealed more wounded and three more corpses, the release said. It said Israeli soldiers posted near the houses ordered the rescue team to leave the area -- an order the team refused.

Quick and dirty analysis of what is obviously a long planned agenda

I don't have too much time to devote to this at the moment, but please look over the stories for the past few days. What are we seeing?

1. Israel is committing crimes against humanity, with impunity from world leaders, while conducting a massive PR campaign to spin their behavior as self-defense, which isn't working.

2. Russia has cut of fuel supplies to various countries after rumblings of tanks moving around and kidnappings in the Georgia region.

3. Obama has nothing to say.

If you read the story by Chossudovsky, here, you will see that the massacring of civilians is intentional.

The longer term objective of this plan, as formulated by Israeli policy makers, is the expulsion of Palestinians from Palestinian lands:

"Terrorize the civilian population, assuring maximal destruction of property and cultural resources... The daily life of the Palestinians must be rendered unbearable: They should be locked up in cities and towns, prevented from exercising normal economic life, cut off from workplaces, schools and hospitals, This will encourage emigration and weaken the resistance to future expulsions" Ur Shlonsky, quoted by Ghali Hassan, Gaza: The World’s Largest Prison, Global Research, 2005)

The goal is to make the Palestinians go away, as in leave. Make Gaza unbearable. Make the Palestinians die or leave. Die then leave. Die. Leave. That is what they want, and that is what they are trying to accomplish by inflicting these horrific civilian casualties and destroying the possibility of normal life in Gaza.

They want to internationalize this problem, get everyone involved and wash their hands of it.

What is Russia doing? Is Russia baiting the trap? Is Russia going to demand that Europe "do something" about Gaza before turning the gas back on? Will that threat finally push the international community to step in and take over, giving Israel what it wants?

Problem Reaction Solution.

Problem: Israel brutalizes the Palestinians.
Reaction: World outrage.
Solution: Internationalize Gaza, relieve Israel of responsibility.

Reynolds points out that this incident really sums up the problem with accepting IDF war footage as factual: on their own, these grainy images don't unequivocally show you anything. The only indication you have that you are witnessing belligerent activity is that the IDF says so. And "the IDF says so", is not necessarily a reliable indicator of fact.

What is Israel afraid of? Using the old "enclosed military area" excuse to prevent coverage of its occupation of Palestinian land has been going on for years. But the last time Israel played this game – in Jenin in 2000 – it was a disaster. Prevented from seeing the truth with their own eyes, reporters quoted Palestinians who claimed there had been a massacre by Israeli soldiers – and Israel spent years denying it. In fact, there was a massacre, but not on the scale that it was originally reported.
