She can blink, but she don't think

Sarah, Sarah, Sarah...

I'm sure the Society of American Sociopaths will be duly impressed. You have conveyed the secret meanings to them. They know you are one of the tribe. Normal people, of course, will be horrified. But that's the fun of it, no? To horrify the normal people, those saps every one of them, who have such silly expectations, who persist in earnest effort against the pitiless tide of corruption? Aha. It must be so entertaining for you to play the role of American folk hero alongside the American war hero.

Charlie Gibson asks Sarah if she has the experience to be Vice President, and perhaps, heaven forfend, President of the United States.
Palin says she immediately accepted the VP offer from Sen. McCain, despite misgivings Gibson suggested she might have. "I didn't hesitate," she said. "I answered him yes because I have the confidence in that readiness and knowing that you can't blink, you have to be wired in a way of being so committed to the mission, the mission that we're on, reform of this country and victory in the war, you can't blink. So I didn't blink then even when asked to run as his running mate."
In true psychopath fashion, Sarah admits to being 'wired' in such a way that self-reflection has no role in such important, monumental decisions. Why would she stop for one nanosecond? To consider whether this might be good for her family? To consider whether she deserves to represent the American people in this way? To consider whether she can do this job?

Are you kidding me? This is like the Best Job Offer EVAH!! Why would Sarah Palin hesitate? She is no fool. This will make her rich and famous. Who gives a crap about all that other stuff? This is the opportunity of a lifetime, and thus she didn't blink, and she didn't think. That kind of reflective bullshit is for conscientious people, also known as saps. When you have no conscience, you have no problem taking on jobs and responsibilities above your pay grade. As a matter of fact, this is the preferred method for psychopaths to fill the upper echelons of business and government with other psychopaths, greatly facilitatating massive corruption.

The 'mission' she speaks of? To 'reform the country' and secure 'victory in the war'? If only Charlie had pushed her to define those platitudes, perhaps she could have given even more secret dog whistles to the religious right.

But wait there's more!!

Charlie pressed Sarah about whether it was acceptable for the US to violate Pakistan's sovereignty. He asked the question several times.
PALIN: "In order to stop Islamic extremists, those terrorists who would seek to destroy America and our allies, we must do whatever it takes and we must not blink, Charlie, in making those tough decisions in where we go and even who we target."

GIBSON: "And let me finish with this. I just, I got lost in a blizzard of words there. Was that a yes? You think we have the right to go across the border, with or without the approval of the Pakistani government, to go after terrorists... ?"

PALIN: "I believe that America has to exercise all options in order to stop the terrorists who are hell bent on destroying America and our allies. We have got to have all options out there on the table."
Yes, Charlie. YES YES YES. She is ok with murdering Muslims, who hate us for our freedoms, and she does not have to 'think' about that either. No conscience required. Tough tough tough. All options on the table. Have to protect our 'allies.'

But would you look at her? She is so pretty. She is so charming. She's a mom, and a 'Christian,' so we have nothing to worry about.

It should be emphasized that psychopaths are quite often interesting - even exciting! They exude a captivating energy that keeps their listeners on the edge of their seats. Even if some part of the normal person is shocked or repelled by what the psychopath says, they are like the mouse hypnotized by the torturing cat. Even if they have the chance to run away, they don’t. Many Psychopaths “make their living” by using charm, deceit, and manipulation to gain the confidence of their victims. Many of them can be found in white collar professions where they are aided in their evil by the fact that most people expect certain classes of people to be trustworthy because of their social or professional credentials. Lawyers, doctors, teachers, politicians, psychiatrists and psychologists, generally do not have to earn our trust because they have it by virtue of their positions. But the fact is: psychopaths are found in such lofty spheres also!

At the same time, psychopaths are good impostors. They have absolutely no hesitation about forging and brazenly using impressive credentials to adopt professional roles that bring prestige and power. They pick professions in which the requisite skills are easy to fake, the jargon is easy to learn, and the credentials are unlikely to be thoroughly checked. Psychopaths find it extremely easy to pose as financial consultants, ministers, psychological counselors and psychologists. And that’s a scary thought.

Psychopaths make their way by conning people into doing things for them; obtaining money for them, prestige, power, or even standing up for them when others try to expose them. But that is their claim to fame. That’s what they do. And they do it very well. What’s more, the job is very easy because most people are gullible with an unshakable belief in the inherent goodness of man which, I should add, has been programmed into normal people by psychopaths.

US politicians admit Georgia started the conflict with Russia

Interesting that the lying weasel Daniel Fried, who was on display LYING through his little weasel mouth here, has had to weasel his way around some of his own damned lies. Those big State Department salaries and the prestige that smug LIARS like Daniel Fried enjoy come out of honest US taxpayers, who don't appreciate paying LYING WEASELS to LIE to us for the benefit of a foreign country that means nothing to the vast majority of Americans but sacrifice. That would be Israel, of course. Who else? There is no other country that extracts the living flesh out of our hides like Israel does, and LIARS like Daniel Fried make it all possible, as he sits there smugly LYING before Congress and collecting a US government paycheck to do it. - Ed.

Some U.S. politicians are now beginning to admit that Georgia started the conflict with Russia.

For example, the U.S. ambassador to Russia said a couple of weeks ago that Russia's initial military response was legitimate after Russian troops came under attack by Georgian forces.

The Palestinian Horror Story

Last night as I lay in bed wishing for sleep, I thought I saw a spider scurry across the moonlit ceiling. I closed my eyes only to have uninvited thoughts intrude in that drifting space between wakefulness and slumber. Images floated by. There in that nether world, shimmering threads criss-crossed the darkness of the unknown luring me to come closer until I saw the faces of millions caught in a gigantic, glistening spider’s web. The faces were my own.

9/11 and the American Inquisition

Today's "Global War on Terrorism" is a modern form of inquisition. It has all the essential ingredients of the French and Spanish inquisitions.

Going after " Islamic terrorists", carrying out a Worldwide preemptive war to " protect the Homeland" are used to justify a military agenda.

"The Global War on Terrorism" (GWOT) is presented as a "Clash of Civilizations", a war between competing values and religions, when in reality it is an outright war of conquest, guided by strategic and economic objectives.

The GWOT is the ideological backbone of the American Empire. It defines US military doctrine, including the preemptive use of nuclear weapons against the "state sponsors" of terrorism.

I have therefore felt a duty to obey the laws of the U.S. my whole life.

However, it is likely that the U.S. no longer has a constitutional form of government.

Their Last Supper

On September 6th I attended the Last Supper which was a going away party for 574 men and women in Silicon Valley whose last day of work will be Thursday. Their jobs are going to Asia. American wages are too high to justify their continued employment. Their starting wage was $8.50 an hour for production workers. A friend of mine who is an illegal alien from Mexico was making $10.00 after only 17 years on the job. Imagine the greed of a people who demand such high wages that they force their employers to relocate to Asia. Silicon Valley is a cheap place to live. You can rent a studio apartment for as little as $950 a month so there is no reason for workers to be so demanding.

Yale political union votes 44-25 to 'end the special relationship' between US and Israel

I'm just back from a tremendous evening at Yale University, where the undergraduate debating society, the Yale Political Union, held a long discussion of the resolution, The U.S. Should End Its Special Relationship With Israel, featuring a stemwinder from John Mearsheimer calling for Israel to become a "normal" country in our policymaking; and the resolution passed by a lopsided margin, 44 to 25 (with four abstentions).

Iran earthquake triggers N-bomb test scare globally

I was thinking yesterday of scenarios of how a conveniently placed haarp manufactured weather event, such as an earthquake, could be useful to psychopaths, but this one didn't occur to me. Anything that could lead to a 'misunderstanding' or a 'mistake' that can later be 'regretted' -- after it has served its purpose -- should always be viewed with suspicion when people are looking to start a war. - Ed.

TEHRAN: At 6.1, the earthquake that rocked Iran's main oil port of Bandar Abbas, was rated "strong" but not seen as likely to cause major damage. But the shock took a toll of nerves in many world capitals as speculation that Iran had tested a nuclear bomb spread like wildfire.

The hysteria soon died down, but not before the west wondered if its worst nightmare - of a nuclear bomb in the hands of a theocratic Islamic state - had come true after all. Though Iran's nuclear capacity is unproven, US's high-pitched campaign as well as sabre-rattling by Iran's leaders has kept nations on the edge.

The Price of Sanity is Now Happiness

Well here we are again. The seventh anniversary of the day of infamy. What can one say about today? Well, that really depends on where your mind has gone over the past seven years. I am going to keep this personal, and tell you how 9/11 has changed my life.

I used to be a happy person. When George Bush stole the 2000 election, I knew he was stealing and I knew things were bad. What the hell was the matter with people? How come they could not see through this man? Real men did not need to strut around like roosters and talk with an affected phony accent, but millions found this act charming. The destruction of the American mind, the withering away of our ability to discern reality, had already been sufficiently advanced to allow a complete and obvious impostor like GWB to be taken seriously. Of course, the corporate media shills moved mountains to make this happen. None of this could have happened without their constant facilitation, an unforgivable betrayal that will land many of them in the ninth circle of hell, where they belong.

Of course I believed that terrorists attacked us on 9/11, but I couldn't bring myself to support Bush even then. He always creeped me out. Somehow I was immune to his wiles and knew we had to get rid of this guy in 2004. People were digging up the truth about his National Guard service and other lies, like the ones used to get us into Iraq; and many blatant lies were documented. But no. The cancer had spread. Republicans refused to hear the truth, and they became vicious in Bush's defense.

Around that time I also began doing a little research into 9/11. Questions had been bubbling, but the commission had people that we thought we could trust, like John McCain. Surely, after being eviscerated by Rove's machine, he would sidle up close to Bush and stick the shiv in. Wasn't that what he was doing? How could he let these treacherous liars get away with it -- all these dead Americans? McCain was a war hero. He would save us from Bush using his position on the 9/11 commission. Ha! Wrong again. He never did anything of the sort. On the contrary, he overlooked everything and tucked in nice and cozy.

One thing led to another, and I became hooked on finding out why nothing makes sense in this country. And I found out enough. Do I have the answers to every question? Certainly not, but I found out enough to know that we are ruined, and how, and by whom. I found out enough to know that I brought three children into this world and their future is bleak, and my heart is broken. I found out enough to understand why this country constantly talks about Israel, and Israel's security, and what's good for Israel. I found out enough to know that for just two or three percent of our population, Jewish people hold a truly amazing number of key government and corporate media jobs from which they shape both policy and narrative. I found out enough to know that this whole war on terror is a big cock-up designed to keep us at war because some people profit handsomely from death and destruction. I found out enough to know why the vast majority of Americans have to work harder and harder to maintain a declining standard of living. I found out enough to know that the official story of 9/11 makes no sense, and even if the truth movement has been littered with misinformation designed to discredit honest people, the official story still makes no sense and they obviously have much to hide. I found out enough to know that our Constitution no longer protects us, but our government doesn't even have the balls to admit that we live in a dictatorship because they're so greedy and cowardly they want everything for free, even unlimited power over the American people. And I found out enough to know that all these things are connected.

That's what I did since 9/11/01. And now I am no longer happy. I ceased to be happy five years ago, and in fact, I live in a state of grim depression. But that is the sacrifice I made to understand, in an imperfect way, what has happened to our country. It is the price of living in reality. I am depressed, but I am sane. I am depressed because I am sane. And I encourage every American to start somewhere, and to start to apprehend the truth in all its depressing darkness, because that is the only way to honor all the people, and there are so many, who have been murdered as a result of this day seven years ago. It is the only way out of the growing insanity that we have become. The entire world watches in horror, wondering if we will emerge from the swoon in time or take the entire planet down in a final fit of insane delusion.

Cancer claims former Egyptian defense minister

A friend in Egypt gave me this news yesterday. The Egyptian people have lived under emergency laws for 25 years under Mubarak, a dictator supported by serial US administrations because he helps prop up the illegitimate US Middle East foreign policy. Mubarak's son, Gamal, would like to succeed him in the near future, a depressing thought. It's kind of like the Egyptian version of the Bush family. This man who died was an impediment to this scenario, and his death is a loss for the Egyptian people. - Ed.

CAIRO: Former Egyptian Defense Minister Abdel-Halim Abu Ghazala has died after a long battle with cancer and received a state funeral on Sunday. Abu Ghazala, who was defense minister from 1980 to 1989, was once considered the country's most powerful man after President Hosni Mubarak, who has ruled Egypt since 1981. He died in a Cairo hospital late Saturday at the age of 78. Abu Ghazala was the driving force behind efforts to reorganize the Egyptian military and to turn it into a strong and independent force, running its own ventures and promoting strong ties with Washington. In 1989, Mubarak removed the popular general from his post, appointing him into the more ceremonial role of "special aide" to the president, a position which he left in 1992. - AFP

If Harring had been walking outside along the sidewalk, Cheney would have blasted him with the loaded gun he keeps in his front and center desk drawer. Wonderful! 9/11 and the Great American Decline

The author begins with his encounter with two Israelis on the banks of the Hudson River as the second tower fell at the World Trade Center, and proceeds through the brief euphoria at "victory" in Iraq, and subsequent reversals in U.S. fortunes. "9/11 may one day be viewed much like the assassination of the Archduke Ferdinand, in 1914: as an occurrence that merely served to ignite the inevitable. The Bush regime desperately wanted a global war, and it got one." But rather than ushering in an era of unchallenged American hegemony, the U.S. entered into irreversible decline.

Sick minds make sick weapons

Remember when Benazir Bhutto was killed? I wrote a little theory about that assassination, and at the time it made me very nervous because I got some...shall we say...powerful visitors to my blog. The government does not like people poking around their black ops weapons technology. But they want to use the weapons, see, because they are just so sick!, so it's such a damned if you do/damned if you don't kind of problem for them. They have to be totally on their toes to provide alternative explanations and plenty of spin if anyone notices anything amiss.

These weapons have been in use, but they've been used on poor people far away for years. Few reporters have written about these dark things, and surely those that could expose them wouldn't for fear of losing their jobs (or worse). Now we have the 'intrepid' Bob Woodward 'breaking the story' in truly titillating fashion through CNN and Larry King. (link via s o s)

Bob says:
“The top secret operations will “some day in history … be described to people’s amazement,” Woodward told King.
Amazement, eh? Try horror, you fucking asshole. Pardon me, but it is not amazing "in a good way" that our government has used billions of dollars, most likely laundered drug money which wrecked a few million American lives along the way to the Pentagon black ops budget, to develop secret laser weapons that have been used to kill innocent civilians in Iraq, Afghanistan and Lebanon.

That sick bastard Donald Rumsfeld was rubbing his hands together back in 2002 about zapping people, and the predictions then were that the weapons would be ready in less than five years. So now it's 2008, and lo and behold, Bob Woodward deigns to inform us through Larry King that our military is using some amazing shit against the 'terrorists.'

Yeah, well. Terrorists like this, murdered by Israelis with our cool technology in 2006? Maybe it was still experimental back then.

Or was this little child just murdered with boring old traditional weapons like tank shells, bullets, or bombs? Was he suffocated and crushed to death under rubble? Such a boring death.

Well, there are always the mysterious chemical weapons...

Dear all ,

Ok , I have to admit the attached pictures are hideously gruesome, but you have to look at them . Help me find out what kind of weapons cause this kind of dismemberment and mutation. What kind of weapons cause this kind of damage? Do you know? Could you find out?

None of this is confirmed, or could be here and now. However, there are growing doubts that Israel might be using internationally forbidden weapons in its current aggression against Lebanon. News from "Southern Medical Center", a hospital in Saida( in South Lebanon) are not good.

Dr. Bashir Sham, member of "French Association of Cardiovascular Surgeons", explains that the way the corps [sic] look when they reach the hospital , especially those of the air strikes in Doueir and Rmayleih, is very abnormal. One might think they were burnt , but their colour is dark , they're inflated, and they have a terrible smell. All this , and the hair is not burnt nor do the bodies bleed.

Eight of the victims of an air strike on Rmayleih bridge, near Saida, on the 15th of July, were transferred to Sham's hospital.

Sham says that only chemical poisonous substances "lead to instant death without bleeding". And what indicates the power of these substances, is the high and unusual of number of dead victimes, compared to the number of injuries.

Sham thinks that whatever abnormal substance causing these features might penetrate through the skin, or another explanation would be that the missiles contained toxic gas that stopped the proper functioning of the nervous system, and led to blood clotting.

These toxic materials cause immediate death, within two to thirty minutes, according to Sham, who admits that these doubts can't be proven, not even by an autopsy.

The director of the same medical center, Ali Mansour, says that due to the strong smell of the corps, he couldn't breath properly for at least 12 hours after the corps were handled.

He explains that the center received eight bodies from Rmeileh last Monday, and none of them was bleeding. Mansour tells us the hospital wrote to both the commissioner of the European Union for Foreign Affaires Javier Solana, and the United Nations Secretary general Kofi Anan. He said that dr Sham will communicate his doubts to the Doctors Order in Lebanon.

CAN YOU HELP US , PLEASE!
I wish I could help. All I can do is point out the LIES of our government and the INCESSANT LYING of the corporate media. All I can do is point out to my fellow Americans that these technologies will be used against us in the name of Homeland Security. And that you will be instructed to like it and be supportive because you are to believe that only bad people will ever come to know these things intimately, and while you're smoking that crack pipe please remember that all the people in the US military are truly and surely boyscouts who walk old ladies across the street and carry their groceries and would never, ever do anything to hurt an innocent person. So you can trust them completely with any kind of weapon, no matter how diabolical it may seem, because this is America. And I am just as qualified to be Vice President as Sarah Palin because my son plays hockey and I make my kids' own damned sandwiches, too. And that's all it takes. Right? RIGHT????

What is the secret killing weapon in Iraq?

The Daily Howler: This is how Palin/McCain get by

As we noted yesterday, hacks raced to peddle Palin’s tale about the way she “fired” that state chef, “saying, I can make sandwiches for my own kids.” (We’re quoting the way John Fund told the tale. See THE DAILY HOWLER, 9/8/08.) Today, the Post offers a new perspective on such claims, reporting a fairly remarkable fact: Palin requests and receives “per diem” pay from the state of Alaska on the many days she lives at home rather than in Juneau, the capital. In typical press corps fashion, the Post fails to state the size of the stipend—and it offers confusing, seemingly self-contradictory statements. Judging from a paragraph about Todd Palin, it seems that Sarah Palin may request and receive roughly $54 per day when she works at home.

That should help a hockey-mom make a whole sh*t-load of sandwiches. On the other hand, the Post’s reporting is confusing and quite hard to parse. Compare paragraph 1 with this later statement: “Palin rarely sought reimbursement for meals while staying in Anchorage or Wasilla, the reports show.” Does this mean she accepts a lodging fee rather than money for meals? The Post’s reporting is typically hapless.

9/11 Myth Huggers: 7 years of ignoring the evidence

On the day of 9/11/2001 I was so caught up in the official explanation of the events, which were already being drilled into our heads by the establishment media, that I sent out an inflammatory e-mail in which I slammed Islam for being a radical religion (as if there is such a thing as a non-radical religion). It took me about two years before I started admitting to myself that the official evidence really did not support the official explanation of the events. As a matter of fact, the official explanation was kind of laughable when compared to the evidence. Only it really was not funny.

Letters to Antiwar.com re: September Surprise

Note the Jerusalem Post's highlighting of the story, while U.S. and European press outlets have ignored it. I doubt the capabilities of Dutch intelligence to operate in Iran. Moreover, even accounting for possible concerns about Iran's nuclear energy program, I have a hard time believing the Dutch would be engaged in committing potential acts of war against Iran.

Die by gunshots, by missiles, by sea shelling, or air strikes.
Die out of starvation. Die under the open sky.
Dont run, theyll get you on the roads.
Stay where you are and die, stand still, dont even attempt to move, just die.
By forbidden arms, by allowed arms, die.
And die together, whole family members, so no one will cry when you go.
And down here, we wont even be able to look at the pictures of your corps.
Silently die, dont scream.
And stay right where you die, none of us is able to reach you, or to collect your remains from under the rubbles. None of us is able to know how many you are. None of us can protect you from the kind of death that they choose for you.

Israel deliberately forgets its history

The Jews built Israel on Zionism, and that was a mistake. Zionism is a house of cards. This whole thing is coming down. - Ed.

Every Israeli knows that he or she is the direct and exclusive descendant of a Jewish people which has existed since it received the Torah (1) in Sinai. According to this myth, the Jews escaped from Egypt and settled in the Promised Land, where they built the glorious kingdom of David and Solomon, which subsequently split into the kingdoms of Judah and Israel. They experienced two exiles: after the destruction of the first temple, in the 6th century BC, and of the second temple, in 70 AD.

Carnage in Afghanistan confirmed. Pentagon forced to respond.

As the doctor walks between rows of bodies, people lift funeral shrouds to reveal the faces of children and babies, some with severe head injuries. Women are heard wailing in the background. “Oh God, this is just a child,” shouts one villager. Another cries: “My mother, my mother.” The grainy video eight-minute footage, seen exclusively by The Times, is the most compelling evidence to emerge of what may be the biggest loss of civilian life during the Afghanistan war.

These are the images that have forced the Pentagon into a rare U-turn. Until yesterday the US military had insisted that only seven civilians were killed in Nawabad on the night of August 21.

Cheney fails to garner Azeri support on Nabucco pipeline

U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney has failed to win Azerbaijan's support for the construction of a new gas pipeline from the Caspian that would bypass Russia.

Azeri President Ilham Aliyev indicated to Cheney during talks in Baku on Wednesday that he did not want to anger Russia in the wake of its invasion of neighboring Georgia, Kommersant reported, citing an official in Aliyev's administration. Cheney was so disappointed that he did not attend an official dinner in his honor, the report said.

More screwed now than ever before

My rusty old steed has finally gone to CPU heaven; rather than changing careers, I decided to get a new computer. I do not like the new keyboard at all, nor do I care much for the new OS. And they don't seem to like me, either. So we're having a big battle and not much else is getting done. All my blogs have been dormant.

But I've been reading as much as possible ... and I can't shake the feeling that we're more screwed now than ever before, though it seems hardly anyone agrees with me.

Perhaps that's why I don't agree with them.

60 minutes edits interview to make Iran look bad

Very good comment thread on this one... - Ed.

The interview that Mike Wallace did of Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad 2 years ago was aired on C-Span recently, and a diligent blogger has reported on what "60 Minutes" cut out of the interview when it aired. When Wallace confronted Ahmadinejad with the "wipe Israel off the map" threats, Ahmadinejad said that "the solution is democracy" in Israel and Palestine, a suggestion that he favors a one-state solution. I agree with blogger Tom Murphy that "60"'s edits misrepresent Ahmadinejad's thrust, making him out to be far more confrontational than he is, especially after Wallace promised Ahmadinejad that he would listen to his complete answers to questions. And yes, that this amounts to "suppression of basic facts concerning Israel and the Palestinians."

16 US troops commit suicide in Iraq

I don't know about this one...sounds pretty bizarre. Potent narcotics that make them look like 5,000 year old mummies?? Having said that, some of the vigorous and obnoxious debunking surrounding this story from the usual smug know-it-all fat mouthed prancing rooster assholes who can imagine the "bad guys" doing anything while American virtue remains ever unstained ("It's Iranian propaganda...the MSM would cover it if it were true...") -- methinks the ladies doth protest too much. - Ed.

Sixteen US troops from the 57th Unit of the Airborne Division have committed suicide inside a military base in Iraq, security sources say.

Iraqi security sources have revealed that 21 US troops had committed suicide inside a former Iraqi air force base 27 days ago, Fars News Agency reported on Monday.

According to the sources, the 21 troops were treated in a hospital but only five soldiers have survived and they are in a critical condition. Security officials said they used potent narcotics to kill themselves.

The political economy of secrecy

Introduction. Information is power. In a society organized according to principles of rationality and justice, information will be universally available and widely diffused, permeating the social order with power. In a society organized according to capitalist principles, information will be concentrated in the hands of a ruling class and its agents, augmenting and even displacing the force required to maintain capitalist inequities. The burden of the following essay is to argue that differences in information – information differentials – are intrinsic to the capitalist mode of production; and that under free market capitalism this mode of production is reproduced in the post-investment redistribution of profits among corporations, itself largely determined by information differentials; and finally, that in America the corporate sector as a whole maintains its hegemony only by concealing from the public the most basic features of domestic politics, foreign affairs, and the system of criminal justice. In short, information differentials both define and critically conceal the distribution and exercise of power throughout the American political economy.

And then we will die

Read the whole thing. - Ed.

It is time to get past the 'death and violence is the answer' mentality. We can not afford to let it continue.

The US government now confronts every minor inconvenience with brutality and force. With lies. With tricks. With deceit. With unrivaled hypocrisy. It speaks a scripted and rehearsed dialog of illogic and insults. It changes the meanings of words and uses those words as weapons to crush, to silence and oppress, to steal what it wants. This government no longer shows respect for anyone but itself and feels no compulsion to listen or cooperate, to show respect for others, or to care at all about right and wrong, truth or lies, justice or injustice.

It seems that this government can't take a single step without stepping on others, without breaking the very laws it exists to uphold, without negating every principle we stand for.

At what point will this criminality cease?

It is no surprise that we are seeing our own citizens being brutalized and arrested for imaginary political crimes before any crimes are committed; and when there is no possibility that they will be committed. For this government there is no longer any concept of innocence until guilt is proven in a court of law. A court of law un-tampered with, a court uncontrolled by compromised loyalists, a court left free to honor its commitment to see justice done. There is no longer any concept of requiring proof of any crime at all.

For this government there is no need for any crime to actually be committed before it engages in illegal, unjustifiable surveillance, the planting of its spies in the affairs of private citizens, the laying of blatantly unsupported charges, all with the obvious aim of depriving innocent people of their freedom and their rights with unlawful, disingenuous arrests.

For millions of years, predator and prey have competed.

Some of the fastest periods of biological evolution have occurred when predator and prey were locked in an "arm's race", each side adapting as quickly as possible to gain the upper hand. When predator developed a fierce new weapon, the prey would develop a new defense. The predator would then develop a new attack strategy, etc.

Deceiving the world with pictures

Remember the image of an emaciated Bosnian Muslim allegedly caged behind "Serb barbed wire", in a "Serb concentration camp" Trnopolje? The fake photo filmed by a British news team became a worldwide symbol of the war in Bosnia. Even after it was proven that the "prisoner" wasn't a prisoner to begin with, and was filmed outside the gate, part of which had barbed wire, this picture had still continued to be proudly exhibited all over the world to this day as the "evidence" that Serbs ran the "concentration camps" in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Even the Hague tribunal's web site carries this fake image on its home page, offering another demonstration of its patent bias and voluntary blindness, a willful disregard for the facts and truth in all forms.

Soldier's suicide rate on pace to set record

Because normal people cannot serve psychopaths without suffering grave psychological damage. - Ed.

Suicides among active-duty soldiers this year are on pace to exceed both last year's all-time record and, for the first time since the Vietnam War, the rate among the general U.S. population, Army officials said yesterday.

Ninety-three active-duty soldiers had killed themselves through the end of August, the latest data show. A third of those cases are under investigation by the Armed Forces Medical Examiner's Office. In 2007, 115 soldiers committed suicide.
