CONFIDENCE in Gordon Brown’s leadership is collapsing among Labour MPs and ministers, party insiders revealed yesterday.

Backbenchers have warned Government whips that voters are becoming increasingly frustrated with the Prime Minister over the tidal wave of job cuts and threatened tax rises.
