the only question that matters: is it true?

Iran has signed the NPT. As a signatory to the NPT, Iran may rightfully, legally, use nuclear technology for peaceful energy purposes. Iran has submitted to and passed repeated IAEA inspections. The US intelligence community (NIE) does not consider Iran a nuclear threat. Israel refuses to sign the NPT. Israel has an estimated several hundred undeclared nuclear weapons. Russia and China have warned that an attack on Iran will have global consequences. That's the situation in a nutshell. Where to next, people? Where to?

Maybe Abbas is willing utterly to abase himself to the USA, but leaving Israel with the Ariel settlement would put Israel in control of the main aquifer in the Occupied Territories while transferring the Galilee triangle to the PA would mean that Israel would feel much more free to ruin that region's economy or to send the IDF to rampage through it in an orgy of Zionist spree killing and genocide as the IDF recent perpetrated in Gaza. Not only would the proposal if genuine mean the bantustanization of the Occupied Territories, but it would add a large part of Israeli Palestinians to the bantustans.

Lieberman, a Connecticut independent who caucuses with the Democrats yet backed Republican John McCain in last year’s presidential election, said he has been “encouraged” by Obama’s first months in office.
