In a comment piece in the newspaper, Stephen Pollard – though essentially supportive of Mr Netanyahu – concludes of his office: "The truth of it is that for all they moan about coverage of the Middle East, they don't actually care. They don't care if Brits end up thinking they are warmongers. They don't care if they are losing the PR war. And they don't care if those of us who do care are left fuming at their wilful refusal to do anything to help us counter Israel's appalling image."

Merkel Cites Eternal Responsibility at WWII Ceremony
Sept. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Chancellor Angela Merkel paid tribute to the victims of World War II and the Holocaust, saying Germany bears “eternal” responsibility for the war that began 70 years ago when Nazi troops invaded neighboring Poland.
Speaking at the Westerplatte peninsula in Gdansk, Poland, where some of the first shots were fired on Sept. 1, 1939, Merkel recalled Poland’s devastation by Germans and the 6 million Jews who died at the hands of the Nazis during the war.
“I pay tribute to the 60 million people who lost their lives in this war unleashed by Germany,” Merkel said today. “There are no words that could even remotely describe the suffering caused by this war and the Holocaust. I bow before the victims.”
