Israel: No end to Gaza crisis with Schalit in chains

Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni says the crisis in Gaza will not be resolved unless captured Israeli soldier Gilad Schalit is released.

Livni made the remarks on Thursday after a three-hour meeting with her European counterparts in Brussels, Belgium, the Jerusalem Post reported.

"As long as Gilad Schalit remains in the hands of Hamas, it will be impossible to solve the crisis in the Gaza Strip", she said.
