1. married father of seven appears in court over 'night stalker' rapes across London

A married man accused of assaulting and raping elderly men and women over a period of 17 years appeared in court today.

Delroy Grant, 52, was remanded into police custody until Thursday after the brief hearing at Greenwich Magistrates' Court in London.

He is charged with five rapes, six indecent assaults and 11 burglaries that took place between 1992 and this year.

Grant was arrested early yesterday by detectives hunting a sex attacker dubbed the 'Night Stalker' following a surveillance operation.

Operation Minstead was set up to find the 'Night Stalker', who targeted men and women aged from 68 to 93 across South London.

...The total number of raids linked to the 'Night Stalker' during a 19-year period is thought to be more than 200.

2. doctor jailed for poisoning pregnant lover's drinks - SEE PHOTO WITH PSYCHOPATHIC STARE

Married hospital consultant Dr Edward Erin was jailed for six years today for spiking his pregnant lover's drinks to make her lose her baby.

He was found guilty last month of spiking Bella Prowse's coffee and orange juice to make her miscarry.

Erin's wife, microbiologist Dr Lowri Erin, said she would stand by her husband after the verdict and did not believe he was guilty.

She said: "How can the jury take the word of a woman out for revenge against that of a doctor of good character who has done nothing but help people all his life?"

But the jury heard that Erin was a serial philanderer who dated women as if he were still a bachelor.

3. 15-year old 'babyface' arrested for serial rape

Police in Gothenburg arrested a 15-year-old boy on Friday on suspicion of being the mystery rapist that has haunted the city in recent months.

The boy is believed to have carried out a number rapes and as many as 30 sexual assaults in total.

Witness statements along with around 350 tips have come in from the public pointing towards the perpetrator, the so-called 'babyface' man.

Police state they have evidence connecting him to two rapes, two attempted rapes, and two sexual assaults.

”We are absolutely sure we have arrested the right person,” said Per-Olof Johansson, head of the city’s serious crime unit during a press conference on Friday.
